Configuration of Outlook Express 5 and 6

If this will be your first email-account, the wizard will start automatically. In this case goto point 3a. 

Otherwise open the Accounts-Option in the Tools-Menu.

In the following window select the MAIL-Tab, click the ADD-Button and choose the option Mail.

Enter your Name.

It helps the receiver to identify the shipper.

Enter your E-mail-address:

for example: johndoe@hrb.de

Enter the Server-Information. 

The incoming-mail-server is a POP3 server. 

Incoming-mail-server: pop3.hrb.de

Outgoing-mail-server: smtp.hrb.de

You do log on using your POP account name.

The POP account name is the
prefix of your E-mail-address: johndoe@hrb.de, in this case it’s
>> johndoe << 

Enter the Password as provided with your Confirmation-Form. 

Click Next to continue.
